CBC Social 2021 Pride Month Campaign

Art directed CBC social’s 2021 Pride Month video campaign.

Our team landed on the concept of turning audience-submitted LGBTQ+ love stories into animations. I animating scenes for one of the videos myself and selected freelance animators to work on the other stories. Each video had one full-screen scene and two simple animations to be overlaid on top of footage. The couple in my story were Joanne and Karla, who went on a picnic for a first date with sushi and cookies.

(A couple years later, I decided to update the picnic scene to re-rig the characters in Limber and add face movement using Joysticks 'n Sliders. You can see the original in the embedded Instagram video.)

All the illustrations are by me. The only exception is a few of the tattoos, which are stock images that I modified.
