Pop Chat (CBC)
Animation for weekly segment for Snapchat and Instagram Stories from CBC Podcasts’s Pop Chat. Design is meant to emulate a group text thread with your pop culture savvy friend, in the colour palette of the podcast’s cover art. It incorporates audio clips from the podcast, styled to look like voice memos.
To make creating these weekly quick and easy, I set up a template that uses Master Properties, dropdown menus, and animations triggered by markers. It’s super simple and flexible.
Master Properties
The template uses Master Properties to quickly switch between the three different panellists on the podcast, depending on who’s speaking.
You can also easily swap in that week’s recommendation.
The markers on the timeline trigger the animation in and out of the bubbles. Adjusting the timing is as simple as dragging them.
